Jim Sweeney Addresses The City Council

On July 5th, 2016 the Alameda City Council voted unanimously to approve the park design for the Jean Sweeney Open Space Park created by Placeworks. Prior to the Council vote, Jim Sweeney spoke of Jean Sweeney's journey from a dream that started in 1998 with the inception of turning the 27 acre Belt Line Railroad switching yard into an open space park for Alameda to this City Council vote to finalize the process of creating the park.
