Jean Sweeney was a long time supporter of the Alameda Food Bank. She often said they would be welcomed in any park design she would help plan. The requested expansion plan would double the size and result in a permanent building stucture on the West end of the park along Constitution Way. The Alameda Food Bank will benefit from the planned adjacant community garden and orchard.
