ARPD Walk Through The Parks
Every year the Alameda Recreation & Parks Department leads tours through the city parks. This tour started at the Marina Cove Waterfront Park along Clement Avenue and continuted to the Jean Sweeney Open Space Park on Sherman St. The Sweeney Park is still under construction but the tour was able to vist the park and observe how far along the park construction was.
ARPD employee Patrick Russi lead the tour and explained the history and the construction progress.
The tour arrives at the hill top with the observation structure for children to climb on. The hill is equipted with the rock steps for climbing, the slide for coming down and a robe to use to pull back up the hill on the opposite side of the slide. The children (and adults) have many things to do on the hill.
